Stephen C Noctor, PhD

Dr. Noctor is an associate professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, Davis. He earned his doctorate from Uniformed Services University Health Sciences (USUHS) in Washington and his postdoctoral training at Columbia University in New York and University of California San Francisco. Dr. Noctor’s lab investigates the factors that regulate the function of the stem cells that produce neurons and glial cells that make up the cerebral cortex. The most recent work of this laboratory focuses on the relationships of the immune system with the nervous system during prenatal development of the cerebral cortex.
